# DRAM Process Flow
A DRAM process flow is the ordered integration plan linking transistor formation, contacts, capacitors, wiring and test. The diagram is a teaching sequence for a conventional capacitor-over-transistor concept, not a production traveler.
## Transistors establish selection
Isolation and access-device modules create the switching structure. Doping, gate formation and their order depend on the device architecture. Peripheral transistor requirements must also fit the integration plan.
## Connections establish the circuit
Bit-line and storage-node connections serve different nodes. Contact alignment, resistance and insulation matter before the capacitor and upper wiring can perform as intended.
## Capacitors establish storage
Shape formation, electrode deposition and dielectric formation are coordinated to obtain usable area, coverage and leakage. Temporary supports or molds may be needed, depending on the structure.
## Test closes the loop
Inline inspection helps control fabrication, while wafer-level electrical testing characterizes actual cells and circuits. Packaging and final testing introduce additional requirements. Conventional DRAM integration should not be confused with emerging stacked-cell 3D DRAM concepts.
